Offering Holistic Relational Psychotherapy
for
Individuals and Partners
In-Person on Maui or via Tele-Health
Aloha. I’m Li Hay
I’m a relational psychotherapist, Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner, and fellow human being navigating this beautiful and sometimes challenging unfolding of life. I work with individuals and partners (intimate and/or professional) who are ready to move beyond old survival strategies and into deeper connection — with themselves, with others, and with something greater.
I specialize in supporting clients who carry grief, trauma, attachment wounds, and emotional legacies that no longer serve them. Many of the people I work with are insightful, sensitive, and strong — but they’ve spent years holding it all together, often at the cost of their own needs, voice, or aliveness.
My approach is intuitive, embodied, and deeply respectful of your pace. I use a blend of IFS, somatic practices, and trauma-informed relational therapy to help you build compassionate inner relationships, untangle stuck relational patterns, and create the emotional safety you may have never fully known.
I hold a Master of Science (MS) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am currently completing my PhD with a focus on couple and relational therapy. I’ve spent decades immersed in personal and collective healing, informed by somatic wisdom, spiritual inquiry, and lived experience.
Therapy with me is collaborative, relational, and gently transformative. It’s a space to explore what’s been buried, reclaim what’s true, and grow into the most grounded version of yourself. We laugh. We cry. We go deep. We make space for all of you.
If you’re longing to feel more alive, more connected, and more fully yourself — I’d be honored to walk with you.

The Foundations of My Approach
Holistic & Systemic
Humans are complex. Many factors, including environment, culture, personal history, socioeconomic status, physiology & genetics, and beliefs contribute to what we feel, think/believe, and do. I consider all of these factors and how they interplay with each other in a client’s system when working with clients to develop significant paths for healing.
Emotionally-Centered
I offer a space where all emotions are welcome. Emotions are the most fundamental aspect of being human. They drive our decisions and behaviors and inform us of how we are impacted by our worlds. The more we can be with our emotions, the more we can be at choice with our behaviors and choose positive change for different outcomes.
Trauma-Informed
There are many types of trauma. Everyone experiences trauma to some degree, both large and small. As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize how past trauma can influence current perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors, and I can offer healing paths to process the intense emotions from past traumas that are often held in the body.
Culturally Sensitive
Culture is foundational to who we are, how we process reality, and how we express (or don’t express) ourselves to others. As a culturally sensitive therapist and cultural student, I bring an awareness of the depth of this cultural influence and have developed a process to bridge cultural differences in our growing multicultural world.
